WeldGuard 5000 - Advanced Monitoring of Arc Welding Systems Weld Monitoring is relatively new field in Welding.
Previously welds could only be evaluated with testing method after
the welds were made and little information would be available
about the cause of failed welds. WeldGuard 5000 is a weld monitoring
system, which detects faults on line and enables its users to
analyse the welding process in great detail. It automatically
keeps track of every part and displays information about the cause
of failures. It also documents the process for future reference
and stores the data in a file format suitable for data-base software.

The WeldGuard 5000 system is a state of the art hardware and software
package for quality monitoring of arc welding processes. The hardware
consists of a computer, signal conditioning equipment and sensors
to measure welding voltage, current and wire feed rate. WeldGuard
is easy to use and does not require any modifications to the welding
equipment. It can be used for most arc welding processes like
GMAW (MIG/MAG), FCAW, MMAW and Submerged Arc Welding. The system
documents the welding process and automatically rejects faulty
